Job Overview
You will play a key role in commercial electrical projects across Houston, with a focus on diverse settings such as commercial buildings, medical offices, universities, and retail centers.
Some travel is required as opportunities for projects may arise in the surrounding cities.
- Install new electrical in commercial buildings using measuring instruments and hand tools to measure, cut and bend wire and conduit.
- Perform electrical installations of wire, conduit, and electrical components.
- Communicating with Customers upon arrival and completion of work ensuring customer satisfaction with service.
- Compiling job documentation, such as certificate of completion, preventative maintenance checklist, and report.
- Diagnosing and making electrical and facility-related repairs.
- Understand and demonstrate the use of the principles of basic electricity and electronics.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the National Electrical Code and NFPA 70-E
- Demonstrate an understanding of occupation-specific safety standards and procedures
- Plan layout of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures consistent with specifications and local codes
- Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduits
- Install control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, outlets, relays, and circuit-breaker panels
- Connect wiring to circuit breakers, transformers, lighting fixtures, thermostats, intercoms, signaling systems, power equipment, or other components
- Check circuit connections to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components
- Diagnose and repair or replace malfunctioning apparatus and components, such as transformers, circuit breakers, fuses, motors, generators, and fixtures
- Lift Station repair experience a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and schematics.
- Familiarity with electrical systems, including installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical codes and regulations.
- Skilled in the use of electrical diagnostic tools and equipment.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay: Based on Experience
Experience
3-5 years experience in servicing, maintaining, and installation of commercial electrical systems
Education/Qualifications (License or Certification)
- High School Diploma or Equivalence.
- Active TDLR License- **MUST HAVE MINIMUM 4 YEARS EXPERIENCE**
- 10 Hours of OSHA Training.
Physical & Mental Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. regularly and 75-80 lbs. occasionally.
- Capable of working in various weather conditions.
- Type/speak English clearly.
- Must be able to read/write/spell.
- Must be able to understand and follow written instructions, and communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Must have strong skills in prioritization, organization, multitasking, and stress management.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
