Job Overview

CS Mechanical/Azimuth CDM, a leading provider of mechanical and construction services, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team. 

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll on a timely basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and applicable laws
  • Maintain and update employee records, including salary changes, tax withholdings, and deductions
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management and other stakeholders as required
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolve any issues or discrepancies
  • Stay updated on federal, state, and local payroll regulations and make necessary adjustments to ensure compliance
  • Assist with payroll tax filings and audits as needed
  • Collaborate with the HR department to ensure accurate employee information and seamless payroll administration
  • Provide support for payroll-related projects and initiatives as assigned

Skills

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Clerk or similar role
  • Proficiency in using QuickBooks Desktop (experience with QuickBooks Online is a plus)
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes and regulations
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a high-volume payroll environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Familiarity with general accounting principles and practices.

Note: QuickBooks Desktop proficiency is preferred, but candidates with experience in other accounting software may also be considered.

Education/Qualifications (License or Certification)

  • High School Diploma or Equivalence.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred

  • Payroll: 2 years (Required)
